1. About Ease

Ease is operated by Merek Barrett in Ontario, Canada. In these terms, “Ease,” “we” and “us” mean that operator; “you” means the person using our iPhone app, website or related services. Contact us at support@helloease.app.

These terms cover the Ease app, helloease.app, support and related Ease services. Apple and the third-party websites you choose to open operate their own services.

2. Agreement and app licence

By choosing Continue where these terms are presented, you agree to them and must meet the eligibility requirements below. If you do not agree, do not continue using Ease.

The app licence is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement for Ease’s services and website; they do not replace it. Apple’s purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights also apply.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Accepting these terms does not give permission for optional processing where separate consent is required, and does not change your privacy choices. You can continue without sharing optional onboarding analytics.

3. Who may use Ease

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ease. If you are under 18, you need a parent or legal guardian’s agreement and supervision. Optional onboarding analytics is for adults aged 18 and older; a parent or guardian’s agreement to use Ease does not enable it for a younger user.

Ease is designed for self-directed use on a device you own or are authorized to use. It is not a remote parental-monitoring or employee-surveillance service. Do not use it to interfere with another person’s communications or access to essential services.

Third-party social services have their own age and account rules. Ease does not lower those limits or make their content suitable for children. An App Store content rating is separate from these eligibility requirements.

4. Features and device setup

Ease helps you customize a simpler Home Screen, manage selected distractions, use supported social websites with presentation filters, and view your progress. Features can include launchers, widgets, scheduled restrictions, Focus sessions and temporary Borrow access. Availability depends on your version, device, permissions, selected plan and connected services.

Ease does not replace iOS. Adding Home Screen widgets, selecting Focus pages, arranging icons, applying wallpaper and completing some Shortcuts steps require actions in iOS. Saving a design in Ease does not automatically install or apply it.

Social filters operate on supported websites inside Ease. They do not change native social apps or guarantee that every advertisement, tracking request or distracting element is blocked. Third-party changes may affect their operation.

Calendar, weather and other permission-based features work only when their required permissions or services are available. You may revoke iOS permissions, but the affected feature may then stop working.

5. Estimates, wellbeing and essential access

Self-reported screen-time estimates, timeline illustrations, goals and sample previews are not measured results. Ease does not guarantee a particular reduction in screen time or provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Our blog provides general educational information.

Ease is not an emergency or safety service, and restrictions are not tamper-proof. Device settings, permissions, removal of the app, system behavior and other changes can affect them. Test your setup and keep independent access to calling, messages, navigation, banking, authentication and other essential functions.

6. Your information and content

You retain your rights in information you enter, such as launcher names, goals and setup choices. Ease processes it to provide your chosen experience as explained in the Privacy Policy. These terms do not grant a right to publish your private setup or use it to train AI models.

Send support only information needed to address your request and material you have a right to share. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment-card numbers, private Screen Time tokens or unnecessary personal records. Ease is not a backup service; clearing app storage may lose your setup.

7. Acceptable use

Use Ease lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, impersonate someone else, misuse support channels or submit unlawful or infringing material.

These terms do not restrict rights that applicable law or an applicable open-source licence gives you. App-licence restrictions are addressed in the applicable EULA.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

The purchase screen and Apple’s confirmation identify the available product, price, billing period, renewal terms and included access before you buy. Do not rely on an old screenshot or blog article for the current offer. A free tier, promotional offer, trial or one-time product is available only when expressly offered.

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps Ease verify transactions, recognize eligible access and restore purchases. A purchase does not grant device permissions or make an unavailable third-party service operate.

An auto-renewing subscription renews under the terms shown by Apple unless you cancel it through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Ease, resetting data or sending a privacy request does not cancel a subscription.

If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the price and billing period shown in the offer unless you cancel in time. For a free or discounted trial, Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before it ends. Cancelling generally stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of a paid billing period, subject to Apple’s terms and any refund or revocation. Cancelling a free trial may end access immediately.

A one-time product, if offered, does not renew. Its purchase description defines the included access; it is not a promise that every future product or feature is included or that an online service can operate forever. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

9. Restoration, cancellation and refunds

Use Restore Purchases in Ease to check eligible purchases made with the relevant Apple Account. Availability across devices, Family Sharing and any transfer depend on the product and Apple’s rules. Contact us if eligible access is missing; do not share your Apple Account password.

See Apple’s cancellation instructions to stop renewal and Apple’s refund process to request a refund for an Apple-billed purchase. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable rights. These terms do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule or remove remedies for a faulty service.

Further instructions are in our Billing guide.

10. Third-party services

Apple, RevenueCat and websites you choose to open have their own terms and privacy information. Social providers control their accounts, content and network activity. Ease’s responsibilities are not removed by referring to a third-party policy.

A social account is an account with that provider, not an Ease account. Signing out within Ease does not delete the provider account or necessarily sign you out of Safari or a native app.

11. Intellectual property

Ease’s software, branding and website materials belong to their respective rights holders. Using the service does not transfer ownership of them. Your own information remains yours as described above.

If you believe material on Ease infringes your rights, contact support@helloease.app with enough information to identify the material and explain the concern.

12. Updates and service availability

We may maintain, update or change Ease to improve operation, address security or comply with law. Connected features can depend on third-party services and internet access. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

If a change materially affects paid access or a right you have, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable law. We will not use a general change clause to remove mandatory consumer rights or retrospectively change a completed purchase without a lawful basis.

13. Ending use and restrictions

You may stop using Ease at any time. Removing the app may remove local information but does not cancel subscriptions or delete records held by Apple, purchase providers or social websites.

We may restrict a service where reasonably needed for security, unlawful use or a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law and paid-access rights. Any restriction must be proportionate to the circumstances.

14. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a guarantee, warranty, remedy, privacy right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable rights concerning digital products and services in the countries where Ease is offered.

Subject to those rights and the applicable app licence, Ease is responsible for losses to the extent required by law. We do not promise a particular personal outcome from your use of Ease. These terms contain no mandatory arbitration clause or waiver of collective proceedings.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, except where mandatory law gives you other protections. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer rights in your country or require you to bring a claim somewhere the law does not permit.

Please contact us first about a problem so we can try to resolve it. Doing so does not remove your right to contact a regulator or use a court, dispute service or other remedy available under applicable law.

16. Changes to these terms

The effective date appears at the top of these terms. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice and seek any agreement required by law before those changes apply.
